Domestic and International Airlines As "silk road in the air" in the northwest of China, Xi'an Xianyang International airport is a first class national civilian airport operated officially from 1991. It has advanced equipment, perfect runways, a 21,118 square meter waiting building and complete service system. So it has established relationship with more than 20 airline companies at home and abroad. It sets up a bridge in the air leading Xi'an to the world with more than 2.8 million annual passenger throughput and more than 5 million ton annual cargo throughput. Xi'an-Xianyang International Airport was built in 1991. It is located approximately 45 km northeast of downtown Xi'an. It is the largest modern civil airport in the northest and also one of the important hubs of air communications in China.It operates direct flights to and from major cities in China. So far, it has opened direct flight to Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The airline shuttle bus (6:30am-7:30pm, RMB25) runs between the airport and Xi??an city. Airport Hotel
This hotel is located on the Underground Floor of T2 offering daily rate accommodations for travelers. In addition, the hotel also has 23 hourly rooms which charge CNY50 or CNY60 per hour and CNY200 or CNY260 per half day.

Located to the southeast of T1 and T2, just neighboring the Airport Hotel, this hotel has a series of rooms in different types for your choice, such as standard room, triple room and single room.

Airport Buffet Restaurant: Located on the east part of T2's second floor, it can seat 350 people for dining and offers food to passengers inconvenienced by flight delay.

Airport Shishang Restaurant: Located at the west side of T2's international departure hall, this restaurant focuses on Chinese food and simple western style food.

Airport Silk Road Restaurant: Located on the 1st Floor of the T2's Waiting Hall, this restaurant provides service for tourist groups(s) from home and aboard. Banquet service is also available. The main foods are traditional Chinese cuisines, as well as local snacks, coffee and tea.

Airport Cafeteria: This cafeteria offers food service to independent tourist. The menu includes Chinese dishes, western food, snacks and fruit. It is located on the 2nd Floor in T2's Waiting Hall.

Guibin Restaurant: Located in T1, it is mainly offers buffet dinner and high-grade banquet.

Located in the geographical centre of China, Xian is regarded as an important communications hub for the western and the eastern parts of China. The city has already developed a modern transportation network incorporating road, rail, and air travel.

Xian airport islocated 50 km (about 31 miles) northwest of downtown Xian in Xianyang, a neighboring city. Ranked as the fourth most frequented airport in China, Xianyang International Airport (XIY) is home to 68 domestic daily flights from almost every major Chinese destination. From Jiuzhaigou, Ningbo, Zhengzhou and Lianyungang, etc. to Xian are newly opened domestic routes. International airlines from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand totally 10 Asian cities are well established services of XIY. In 2005, there opened 7 new international airline routs from Germany, France, Britain, America and Canada via transfers in Beijing. There are shuttle busses between the airport and the urban area with a 25 Yuan admission fee per person. Alternatively, at a price of 100 - 120 Yuan the journey can be made by taxi.

Line 1-between airport and Melody Hotel near the Bell Tower
Tourists can reach many luxurious hotels in the city center by this line, like Hyatt Regency Howard Johnson Ginwa , Plaza Hotel, Bell Tower Hotel, Prince International Hotel and City Hotel, etc.

Line 2-between airport and railway station, passes by Qinfeng Hotel and Jiefang Hotel, passengers can take this line to get to the Diamond International Hotel.

Line 3-between airport and Huoju Dasha in Xian Hi-tech zone

Line 4-between airport and Guomao Dasha in southern suburb, passes by Tangcheng Hotel and Orient Hotel

Line 5 is available for traveling between the airport and Jianguo Hotel in the eastern suburb, and also passes by Empress Hotel.

The shuttle bus departing the downtown area leaves hourly from 06:00 to 18:00 for the airport. It is suggested that travelers pay attention to the lines 2 to 5 since these lines may not be in service after 15:00 or 16:00. The departing time for bus service from the airport to the downtown area is according to the arrival times of incoming flights. Passengers arriving on late flights will be provided bus service, but only to the Melody Hotel which is near the Bell Tower Station. The shuttle bus usually costs 25 Yuan.
Due to underground construction in Xi'an, the shuttle bus's departure time of Line 1 and Line 2 from Xi'an locations to the airport is one hour later than before. At the same time, the last bus of Line 2 and Line 3 from the airport to Xi'an locations may be delayed for one or two hours. One station of Line 3 called Dynasty Hotel is temporarily cancelled because of underground construction.

Line 6 is between airport and downtown Xianyang, which passes Caihong Hotel of Xianyang City.
