This Italian restaurant has just opened its doors in one of Xian's most luxurious malls. It has a great view on the Southgate of the ancient city wall. With an Italian owner and a French dessert-chef you can be assured of a nice dinner. In the centre of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, the old capital of China and the starting point of the Silk Road, there is the Italian Restaurant Pizzeria "Il Satiro Danzante" (The Dancing Satyr). It is run by an Italian family and is inside the modern Chang'An Metropolis Center, home to many boutiques selling the most important Italian and western fashion brands.

The Restaurant
The restaurant has a wonderful view on the South Gate and the Ming dynasty city-wall. Il Satiro Danzante offers you a rich menu of many Italian regions (Piedmont, Lombardy , Sicily , Tuscany , and so on), with their different characteristics and different tastes. The restaurant offers a big choice of dishes like Antipasti, Primi and Secondi, each with strong ties to a place or with a tradition, and known throughout the world. You can discover all sides of Italy , its tastes, its flavours, its elegance, its quality and its style. Looking at the menu, you will find some classic antipasti (Appetiser), like bruschette, cheese or some regional speciality, like the parmigiana or the caponata, which usually can be found only in their original region. Among the primi (pasta), the chef creates well-known dishes, like the pasta alla carbonara and la pasta alla Bolognese. You can also enjoy some delicious dishes not very well known abroad, like the amatriciana or the norma, an old Sicilian recipe created for Vincenzo Bellini. All the dishes are prepared with care, following the traditional Italian recipes and choosing the best products, many of which imported from Italy.

The Pizzeria
Il Satiro Danzante is the only place in Xi'an to try the true Italian pizza, prepared in a typical Italian oven imported from Italy. The base of the pizza is prepared in the traditional way, employing only flour, water, salt and yeast, and is topped with only natural ingredients. In the menu you will find a large assortment of pizza. You can also choose from two sizes: large ( 25 cm . diameter) or extra-large ( 33 cm . diameter), the true Italian pizza.

Cake and Ice-cream
Il Satiro Danzante is the perfect place to try Italian cakes and the authentic Italian Gelato (ice-cream) made with Italian machine imported. Our cakes are prepared only with the best quality products. In our menu you will find classic recipes , chocolate cake and the very famous tiramisu. Besides, the chef can prepare a special cake for birthday and anniversary.

Il Satiro Danzante offers a huge selection of Italian wines coming from different regions. White wines for fish dishes or salad; red wines for the primi or meat dishes. All the wines on our list are IGT, DOC or DOCG.
