8 Days Beijing Lhasa Tour

--Rest of the day is your free time to explore the city.

Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Foot Massage (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
|
--Hotel pickup 08:30 am. --Visit Tiananmen Square -the biggest downtown Square of the world.--Then we will enter the Forbidden City from the north end of Tiananmen Square. Forbidden City also called Palace Museum and is located at the center of Beijing. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex. -- After lunch in nice local restaurant, visit Temple of Heaven. --Proceed to enjoy Chinese Foot Massage to have a leisure time. Have dinner in local restaurant. –Transfer back to your hotel after the whole day tour.

Day 3. Ming Tombs, Mutianyu Great Wall (Breakfast, Lunch)

--Hotel pickup at 08:30 am.
--Drive one and half hours to the Ming Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Proceed to visit Sacred Way.
--Move on to the famous Mutianyu Great Wall -the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained. It is easy to walk along this section of defensive project of ancient China.. Cable car is arranged to get the top to have a bird view of the wall.
--Transfer back to your hotel after the whole day tour. |

Day 4. Beijing Hutong, Beijing Zoo, Summer Palace, Roast Duck, Acrobatic Show
|
--Hotel pickup at 08:30 am.
--Transfer to Beijing Hutong -ancient city alley in Beijing. Many of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming (1368-1628) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Take rickshaw to visit the ancient Hutong including Drum tower, Local family, Shicha Lake and Bar Street.
--Then we will to Beijing Zoo to see Giant Panda. |
--After lunch in local restaurant, visit Summer Palace - 20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc. --Taste Peking Roast Duck for Dinner. Peking Roast Duck is delicious food in Beijing. --After dinner, we will enjoy Acrobatic Show in the theatre.
--Transfer back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) |

Day 5. Beijing Lhasa (Breakfast, Dinner)
|
--Transfer to airport to connect the flight to Lhasa. --Arrive in Lhasa, Our tour guide and private vehicle in the airport. Visit the Nietang Buddha on the way to your hotel. --Check in Hotel. Rest of the days is at leisure.

Day 6. Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka Park, Tibetan family (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

--Hotel pickup at 09:00 am.

--Visit the Potala Palace. Originally built in the seventh century, Potala Palace is landmark of Lhasa. It is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks.
--Then we will visit the Sera Monastery - one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419, the collection of murals is maintained in perfect, original condition. Move on to visit the Norbulingka Park. Built in the 1740s, Norbulingka Park was Dalai Lama's summer palace.
--Visit a Tibetan family to get some information of Tibetan's life and local custom. --Transfer back to your hotel. Dinner is served at hotel. |

Day 7. Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Tibetan Traditional Hospital (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

--Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am. --Visit the Drepung Monastery - known as the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. Established in 1416, Drepung Monastery houses many cultural relics, which make it more superb. --Then we will visit the Jokhang Temple -the holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists. --Move on to visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street - Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid. --Visit the Tibetan Traditional Hospital and the local Carpet Factory before back to the hotel. --Dinner is served at hotel.

Day 8: Lhasa—Beijing (Breakfast)

--Hotel pickup. Visit the Tibet Museum if time permits. --Transfer to airport to connect flight return to Beijing. --Transfer to your hotel.
