Day 1 Ming Tombs and Jiankou Great Wall
|
Hotel Pick up at your convenient time
Visit the Ming Tombs including the Sacred Way and Underground Palace
The Sacred Way : In the front part of the imperial necropolises, there usually is a Sacred Way (or Divine Road) which means the road leading to heaven. The Emperor, known as the Son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Sacred Way, also deservedly would return to Heaven through this road.
The Undergroud Palace : also called Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs. From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in the surrounding area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Tombs to have been excavated.
Ming Tombs Lunch Options includes typical Chinese lunch or Peking Duck at local restaurant.
Visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section After Chinese lunch, you continue to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. If you want to reach the highest point, cable car is a good choice (optional).
Jiankou Great Wall Fresh Trout Dinner Only offered when overnighting at Jiankou Great Wall or visiting Mutianyu in the afternoon or in the morning. You have a Chinese style lunch including fresh trout (pick your own from the pond in summer). Also includes an assortment of other Chinese dishes both veg and meat. You can also have a stroll in a rural area, see fish ponds and use poles to catch big fish.

Day 2 Jinshanling to Simati Great Wall Hinking
|
---After Check out of Jiankou Hotel, drive two hours to the Jinshanling Great Wall
---Hike four hours on the Great Wall from Jinshanling to Simatai section.
--Hike on the Great Wall in one of the most beautiful sections. We take you to the more remote and original Jinshanling to Simatai hike, which is 140 kms away from Beijing.The hiking length is around 10 kms. Please bring snacks to eat while hiking. We provide Chinese style lunch after the hike in the early afternoon.
On the way back into Beijing we drive by the Olympic Venues and you stop to take photographs for the Birds' Nest and Water Cube.
--Enjoy the traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony at a courtyard teahouse.
--Return to your hotel around 4 PM.

(1)Make sure have your cell phone is closed in case of bad weather.
(2)What we provide: picnic lunch, one dinner, one breakfast, at least 4 liter of water for drink on the way and cooking, some snacks.
(3)For the camping tour, our tour guide will help to set up the camp site. All the camping equipment will be transferred to camping site directly, so the participants don’t have to carry it while hiking. Our service persons will carry up the food for dinner and breakfast, the camping equipments and water for cooking. Continental western breakfast on the wall includes :pastries/breads, fruit, juice and fresh brewed coffee.
(4)What to wear: Spring is always windy and cool. Summer is always hot at noon and cool at night. While T-shirt and pants easily to dry are suitable for daytime trekking, trousers and jacket are necessary for the cool night and early morning. Autumn is the best season for hiking on the wall, sunny and cool during the day and breathtaking sun rising and setting view could be seen most probably. Winter is very cold and windy with snow and sunshine.
(5)There are local people selling bottled water and even Coco cola from Simatai to Jinshanling on Day2. They generally charge RMB 5 for each.
